Old Reports -> Sales Analysis menu

These powerful sales analysis reports may be used to analyse your sales if you are selling your stock items and or services of your stock items in the Input → Documents menu.

To Access the Tools  → Old Reports → Sales Analysis Menu:

1.Click on the Tools  → Old Reports → Sales Analysis menu.

A list of the ten (10) reports will be displayed. The available shortcut keys to access the options from your keyboard are indicated next to the menu option.

2.Select any of the reports. The Report Options screen for the selected report will be displayed on which you may select the ranges and the options to include in your reports.

a)Sales by Customer - This option allows you to view and analyse your Sales by debtors (customers). This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of Invoices and Credit Notes for each Customer or Debtor or to view the details of your Invoices and Credit Notes for each Customer or Debtor.

b)Sales by Product - This option allows you to view and analyse your Sales by Product. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of your Sales for each of your Products or you may view the details of your sales Invoices and Credit Notes for each of your Products.

c)Sales by Salesperson - This option allows you to view and analyse your Sales by Salesperson. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of Invoices and Credit Notes for each Salesperson or to view the details of your Invoices and Credit Notes for each Salesperson.

d)Sales by Group - This option allows you to view and analyse your Sales by Groups you have set up in the Setup → System parameters → Groups for Document Groups 1 and 2. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of your sales for each of your Groups or to view the details of your sales according to Groups.

e)Salesperson by Product - This option allows you to view and analyse your Sales of your Products by your Salespersons. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of Invoices and Credit Notes for each Product as well as each Salesperson or to view the details of your Invoices and Credit Notes for each of your Products sold by your Salespersons.

f)Salesperson by Customer - This option allows you to view and analyse your sales by debtors (customers) and which Salespersons sold your products to your respective debtors (customers). This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of Invoices and Credit Notes for each Customer and to analyse the Salespersons sales for a specific Customer or all your debtors (customers). You may also view the details of your Invoices and Credit Notes issued by each of your Salespersons for each Customer or Debtor.

g)Product by Customer - This option allows you to view and analyse the sales of your Products by your debtors (customers). This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of your Products sold to each of your debtors (customers). You may view the detail of your sales for each of your debtors (customers) and analyse the quantity, Net Sales Amount and Gross Profit of the Products that were sold to them.

h)Product by Salesperson - This option allows you to view and analyse the sales of your Products by your Salesperson. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals for each Salesperson for your products sold or to view the details of your Invoices and Credit Notes for each of your Products sold by your Salespersons.

i)Customer by Salesperson - This option allows you to view and analyse your sales to your debtors (customers) by Salespersons. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals for each Customer and to analyse the Salespersons sales for all your debtors (customers). You may also view the details of each Customer or Debtor for each of your Salespersons.

j)Customer by Product - This option allows you to view and analyse your sales to your debtors (customers) by Product. This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of your sales for each of your Products or you may view the detail of your sales for each of your Products to your debtors (customers).

When you click on the OK button of any of these Report Options screens, TurboCASH will check for unposted items and display the number of unposted Batches and Documents. You may select to view the details of the unposted Batches and Documents.

These unposted batches and documents contain transactions, which will NOT be included in your reports. Only the Sales by Customer report (Tools → Old Reports → Sales Analysis → Sales by Customer menu) includes unposted sales documents (i.e. Invoices and Credit Notes). All other nine (9) Sales Analysis reports (Tools → Old Reports → Sales Analysis menu) as well as the (Reports menu) excludes the unposted sales documents (i.e. Invoices and Credit Notes).

You may turn this facility off in the Setup → Preferences →System parameters  menu.
