Reports ribbon
The Reports ribbon is used to access and print all reports, user reports and reports from the Ledger analyser 1 / 2 and T-Account viewer. It is also used to access the Printer setup and Report designer.

The reports ribbon is structured in the following nine (9) functions:
- Reports - The reports menu is structured in the following seventeen (17) sets of reports:
- Ledger - You may print the Budget vs actual (3 periods) report, List the General ledger accounts (Chart of accounts) and Transaction reports.
- Debtors - You may print various listing reports, address labels, transaction reports and debtor statements of your debtor (customer / client) accounts.
- Creditors - You may print various listing reports, address labels, transaction reports and creditor remittance advises for your creditor (supplier / vendor) accounts.
- Stock - You may print reorder reports, listing reports, stock movements, backorder reports and labels (barcodes) of your stock items (inventory items / products).
- Contacts - Lists the details of all your contacts.
- Calendar - Print the appointments (events) (i.e. Appointments, Debtor appointments, Creditor appointments and Hours) that was scheduled in the Calendar / Planner.
- Batch entry - Print the transactions of posted invoices, credit notes purchase and supplier return documents as well as posted batch transactions (i.e. sales journal, purchase journal, payments journals, receipts journals, general journals, etc.).
- Documents - Lists your documents, such as invoices, credit notes, purchases, supplier returns documents, orders and quotes or a selection of documents or for a selected period.
- Tax - If you are registered as a Tax (VAT/GST/Sales tax) vendor, you need to print and view reports for a specific period for all your Tax (VAT/GST/Sales tax) or for a specific tax code such as Input Tax (VAT/GST/Sales tax), Output Tax (VAT/GST/Sales tax), Zero-rated Tax (VAT/GST/Sales tax), etc.
- Sales - Various reports are available to analyse your sales documents. Print Debtors, Sales and Items reports for Invoices, Credit notes and Quotes.
- Sales analysis - You may print reports for five (5) reporting groups (i.e. Debtor group 1, Debtor group 2, Document group 1, Document group 2 and Salespersons) for each sales documents (i.e. quotes, invoices and credit notes). You may also print sales per product for stock group 1 or stock group 2 reports for sales documents.
- Purchases - Various reports are available to analyse your purchase documents. Print Creditors, Purchases and Items reports for Purchase and Supplier return documents as well as Orders.
- Purchase analysis - You may print reports for five (5) reporting groups (i.e. Creditor group 1, Creditor group 2, Document group 1, Document group 2 and Salespersons) for each purchase documents (i.e. orders, purchases and supplier returns). You may also print purchases per product for stock group 1 or stock group 2 reports for purchase documents.
- Company info - You may print the details of the bank accounts or the company information, messages and cost of sales settings.
- Currencies - If you process Multi-currency documents (i.e. Invoices, Credit notes and Quotes for debtors (customers / clients) or Purchases, Supplier returns and Orders for creditors (suppliers / vendors). you may print a list of the "Currencies" (added / edited in the Setup → Currencies menu on the Setup ribbon.
- Plugins - Price agreement report for the Price agreement plugin.
- Point-of-sale - Sales and Receipt reports for the plugin point-of-sale systems (if you purchased and use the HorecaPOS or RetailPOS point-of-sale systems).
- User reports - Any other reports that are under construction. Users may add their own reports in the ...\plug_ins\reports\userreports folder.
The following reports installed in TurboCASH5 ( ...\plug_ins\reports\systemreports folder), which was discontinued in osFinancials5 / TurboCASH5.2, is included in the User reports menu (...\plug_ins\reports\userreports folder):
- Ledger - Graphs - The "Graph - Profit / Loss per week" displays the Net Profit / Loss per week in a bar chart.
- Debtors -
- Graphs - The “Graph - Debtors per week” displays the debit and credit transaction totals of all debtor (customer / client) accounts per week in a bar chart.
- Age analysis - The Debtor age analysis reports allows you to analyse the outstanding amounts your debtors (customers / clients) owes you in specified periods such as total, 30, 60 and 90 days, or more. These reports are essential for cash flow control. You may also wish to use this facility for credit control, to send reminders to your debtors (customers / clients), to optimise your cash flow management.
- Outstanding - “Due date” and “Debtors Outstanding at date” reports. These reports will list all the transactions before and on a selected period (date). It will list the details for each transaction (i.e. Reference No., Date, Due date, Debit, Credit and the accumulative balance for each of the debtor (customer / client) account.
- Creditors -
- Graphs - The “Graph - Creditors per week” displays the debit and credit transaction totals of all creditor (supplier / vendor) accounts per week in a bar chart.
- Age analysis - The Creditor age analysis reports allows you to analyse the outstanding amounts you owe to your creditors (suppliers) in specified periods such as total, 30, 60 and 90 days, or more. These reports are essential for cash flow control. You may also wish to use this facility to schedule the payments to your creditors, to optimise your cash flow management.
- Outstanding - “Due date” and “Creditors Outstanding at date” reports. These reports will list all the transactions before and on a selected period (date). It will list the details for each transaction (i.e. Reference No., Date, Due date, Debit, Credit and the accumulative balance for each of the creditor (supplier / vendor) account.
- Sales - Graphs
- Invoices per week - Quantities and Invoices per week - Turnover
- Credit notes per week - Quantities and Credit notes per week - Turnover
- Quotes per week - Quantities and Quotes per week - Turnover
- Purchases - Graphs
- Purchases per week - Quantities and Purchases per week - Cost
- Supplier returns per week - Quantities and Supplier returns per week - Cost
- Orders per week - Quantities and Orders per week - Cost
- Spreadsheet reports - Reports in an Excel spreadsheet. These spreadsheet reports are stored in the ...\plug_ins\reports\excelreports folder.
The following reports will be opened in the powerful spreadsheet feature in TurboCASH5.2:
- Creditors - The Creditors → Listing - List postal addresses report will be imported into the spreadsheet.
- Debtors - The Debtors → Listing - List postal addresses report will be imported into the spreadsheet.
- Transactions per period - List the transactions in posted batches and documents (i.e. sales documents (Invoices and Credit notes) and Purchase documents (Purchases and Supplier returns)) for a selected period in a spreadsheet.
- General ledger - Budget
- General ledger (Transaction totals)
- Column balances this year - Reporting group 1
- Column balances this year - This year Column balances will import the transaction totals in two (2) tabs:
- Column balances - The totals for each period in separate columns
- Settings - The totals for each period in rows per period.
- Sales analysis
- Ledger analyser 1 - There are six (6) report types, which may be selected (i.e. Trial balance, Income statement, Balance sheet, Standard column balances, Budget vs actual and This year vs last year) which may be printed and exported to spreadsheets.
In addition to this, there are 6 report types which may be exported and opened in spreadsheets (i.e. Column balances, Column balances Debit/Credit, Column balances debtors, Column balances creditors, Column balances debtors Debit/Credit, and Column balances creditors Debit/Credit).
- Ledger analyser 2 - The same reports are available as for the Ledger analyser 1, but it gives you another option to generate. print or export different views and reports.
- Age analysis - View and choose options for the new Age analysis report on screen and print it on the Reports ribbon and on the Open item - Due tab (Default ribbon).
- T-Account viewer - Analyse and print transactions for specific accounts, periods, etc. These transactions in the T-Account viewer may also be exported and opened in spreadsheets.
- Printer - Setup and configure the printers on your system.
- Budgets - This option allows to process budgets.
