Spreadsheet - General ledger - Budget - Column balances - This year
You may import the budget totals, which have been added or edited on the Budget tab for selected accounts in Setup → Accounts (Setup ribbon) or on the Budgets icon (Reports ribbon), into a spreadsheet.
Reports for Budgets may also be printed on the Reports → Ledger → Budget menu; or on the Budget listing reports on Ledger analyser 1 or Ledger analyser 2 selecting the "Budget" option.
To import a budget for This year into a spreadsheet:
- On the Reports ribbon, select Spreadsheet reports → General ledger → Budget → Column balances → This year. The budget totals for each of this year periods will be listed in the "Settings" sheet of the spreadsheet:

- To view the budget figures for each account, click on the "Column balances" sheet of the spreadsheet:

This spreadsheet lists the totals for the main account as well as sub-accounts. In this example, note the following: 210000 - Motor vehicle - main account = 450.00 - The total of the following sub-accounts: 210010 - Fuel and oil - sub account = 100.00 210020 - Maintenance - sub account = 150.00 210030 - Repairs - sub account = 200.00 |
The "Column balances" sheet of the spreadsheet will summarise the total of the budget figures for each general ledger account in the following columns:
- Period 0 (Opening Last Year) - The totals of the opening budget totals for the previous year.
- Periods 1 to 12 - The totals of budget figures entered in the respective periods for this year.
- Total - Total for each period (Period 1 -12) plus Period 0.
