This option allows you to select the default printer (from any available printers set up / configured on your system). You may have two or more printers on your system, for example a Dot-Matrix and a Laser printer and wish to print some reports on the Dot-Matrix printer and others on the Laser printer. If this is the case, it is recommended that you select the printer with which you intend to print most of your reports and / or documents.
The printer specified in this option will be the printer on which all reports and documents will automatically be printed when reports and documents are generated, and the Printer option is selected, on the "Send report to" field on any Report, List or Document Options screen.
Should you have more than one printer; clicking on the "Printer setup" icon, you can access a "select printer" screen. From this screen, it is also possible to access the setup page for pre-printed paper used with dot-matrix printers.
This option allows you to select any available printers set up on your system.
To select the printer:
1.Click on the Setup → Preferences → Printer menu. The Printer setup screen is displayed:
2.Click on the Page button.
3.Select and configure your printers.
4.After selecting the printer and doing the necessary settings, click on the OK button to save your changes and exit this screen.
