Old Reports - Purchases by Supplier

This option allows you to view and analyse your Purchases by creditors (suppliers). This report may be retrieved on a summarised level to see the totals of Purchase and Supplier Returns documents for each Supplier or Creditor. You may also select to view the details of your Purchase and Supplier Returns documents, for each Supplier or Creditor.

This report summarises or lists all the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents for each creditor (supplier) account within a selected period or range of dates. You will be able to analyse the purchase and returns totals for each selected creditor (supplier) account.

Print Purchases by Supplier Reports

To Generate a Purchases by Supplier Report:

1.Click on the Tools  → Old Reports → Purchase Analysis → Purchases by Supplier menu.

The Purchases by Supplier Options screen is displayed:

2.Send Report To - Select the output method (screen, printer, file, e-mail or fax).

3.Select the following options:

a)Sequence - Select to list the Creditors (suppliers) Accounts, according to the Account Number, Account Description and Creditor Group 1 and 2 (Reporting Groups 1 and 2).

The description of Creditor Group 1 or 2 you have entered on the Reporting Group Name field on the Creditor Groups tab on the Setup → System parameters → Groups menu, may be reflected in this drop-down list.

b)Show Details - If this field is left blank, you will view the totals of documents (Purchase and Supplier Returns documents) issued for each Supplier or Creditor.

If this field is selected, the detail of the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents (the date and number) will be displayed for each individual Purchase and Supplier Returns document. The total for each Purchase and Supplier Returns document and for each Supplier or Creditor, as well as a grand total of your Purchases will be displayed.

c)From Account ... To - Select the creditor (supplier) account, or a range of accounts, to include in the report.

d)From ... To - Select the start and end date to include in this report.

4.Click on the OK button to send the report to the medium selected in the Send Report to field.


View Purchases by Supplier Reports

An example of the Purchases by Supplier report, reflecting the details, is:

This report consists of eight (8) columns, reflecting the following information:

1.Creditor Account Code or Number - The selected creditor (supplier) account code or numbers will be displayed. This report will be listed, according to the selected Creditor / Supplier Account Codes or Numbers.

2.Type - The type or name of your purchase documents (e.g. Purchase and Supplier Returns documents) will be displayed for each of the selected Creditor / Supplier Accounts.

3.Invoice Number - The Purchase and Supplier Returns document number as generated by TurboCASH.

4.Invoice Date - The date when the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents were generated.

5.Net Sales Amount - This is the total amount of the Cost or Purchase price for all the selected stock items on Purchase and Supplier Returns documents.

6.Net Cost Amount - This is the total amount of the Cost or Purchase price for all the selected stock items on the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents.

7.Gross Profit - Not applicable to the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents.

8.Gross Profit % - Not applicable to the Purchase and Supplier Returns documents.

These amounts or totals are exclusive of VAT/GST/Sales Tax.

Totals will be displayed for each type of document (Purchase and Supplier Returns documents) for each of the selected creditor (supplier) accounts, and a grand total for all the creditor (supplier) accounts included in this report.
