Email Statements in TurboCASH
In TurboCASH accounting, sending customer or supplier statements by email is a built‑in workflow. Here's how it typically works:
📤 Steps to Email Statements in TurboCASH
-
Open the Statements Module
- Go to Reports → Debtors → Statements in the main menu.
- Select whether you want Debtor (Customer) or Creditor (Supplier) statements.
-
Set the Statement Parameters
- Choose the date range (e.g., up to month‑end).
- Select the account(s) you want to generate statements for.
- You can preview the statement before sending.
-
Check Email Settings
- Ensure each debtor/creditor has a valid email address saved in their account record.
- Go to Default → Debtors → [Select Debtor] → Contacts tab and confirm the email field is filled.
- Confirm the Delivery is setup as Email
-
Send by Email
- In the statement preview window, look for the Email option (often a button or menu item).
- TurboCASH will generate the statement as a PDF and attach it to an email.
- The email is sent via your configured mail client (e.g., Outlook) or directly if SMTP is set up in TurboCASH.
-
Batch Emailing
- You can select multiple accounts and send all statements in one batch.
- TurboCASH will loop through the debtor list and send each statement to the stored email address.
⚙️ Important Setup Notes
- SMTP Configuration: If you want TurboCASH to send directly (without opening Outlook), you need to configure SMTP under Setup → Setup → Internet.
- Attachments: Statements are usually sent as PDF attachments.
- Audit Trail: TurboCASH logs the fact that the statement was generated, but the actual email delivery depends on your mail client or SMTP server.
