The "Graph - Profit / Loss per week" displays the Net Profit and Loss per week in a bar chart.

Report options

To print a Ledger - Graph report: 

1.On the Reports ribbon, select Reports → Ledger → Graph


2.Select the Period - Select a period on the Per period tab. You may click on the Free selection tab to select a specific date or a range of dates to include in the graph. 

3.Click on the OK button.

An example of the "Graph - Profit / Loss per week", is as follows:


The net profit / loss should balance with the net profit / loss on the trial balance and income statement, if the same periods are selected.

The details is as follows:

1.Vertical axis - Positive amounts are Income (sales, etc.) and negative amounts are expenses, etc. 

2.Horizontal axis - This is the number of the week in the calendar year (1 to 52).  Weeks 1 to week 8 is for January and February. Since the financial year starts on 1 March, the first week would normally be week 9 in this Set of Books.  

3.Income / Expenses / Net Profit Loss - The figures for the selected period. Net Profit is a positive figure and Net Loss is a negative figure.
