 The free digital movement is not restricted to software. While our industry advances, battles are raging in similar industries like recording and film. The issues are both different and similar.
There are underlying copyright issues that are at play in all these industries. It seems that as the free movement starts to bite in tougher times, that the revenue tackling encumbants become ever more desparate to stop distribution.
Freedom to make money is on a clash course with Freedom to copy digital content. The Open Source industry will get wet in the splash.
